Facials Q&A
Pre-Facial Questions & Answers:
What facial treatment is best for my skin type?
The best facial treatment depends on your skin concerns. We’ll assess your skin during your consultation and recommend the most effective treatment, whether it’s for acne, dryness, aging, pigmentation, or sensitivity
How do I prepare for my facial?
It’s best to avoid using exfoliating products, retinol, or any harsh treatments for 3–5 days before your facial. Arrive with a clean face (without makeup) to ensure the best results.
Can I wear makeup before my facial?
It's best to arrive makeup-free so your esthetician can properly cleanse your skin and prepare it for the facial. If you can’t avoid makeup, we’ll remove it for you before starting the treatment.
Are facials safe if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, many of our facials are pregnancy- and breastfeeding-safe. We also offer specific treatments designed for expectant mothers, using gentle, safe products. Please let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding so we can recommend the most appropriate treatments for you.
How long does a facial take?
Most facials last between 45 minutes to an hour. More advanced treatments like peels or those requiring extra steps may take a little longer.
Do I need to avoid anything after the facial?
After your facial, avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and any harsh skincare products like exfoliants or retinol for 48 hours. We’ll give you specific aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
What should I expect during a facial?
You can expect a relaxing, rejuvenating experience. A typical facial includes cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if necessary), a soothing mask, and a facial massage. The treatment will be tailored to your skin’s specific needs.
Can I book a facial if I have sensitive skin?
Yes! We offer facials that are specifically designed for sensitive skin, using gentle products and techniques to avoid irritation. We'll always tailor the treatment to your skin's sensitivities.
Should I stop using certain skincare products before my facial?
Yes, we recommend discontinuing products like retinoids, exfoliating acids, or other harsh treatments 3–5 days before your facial to prevent irritation. Your esthetician will advise on what to avoid based on the facial you’re receiving.
Is there anything I should disclose before my facial?
Yes, please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or medications (like Accutane or other skin treatments) that might affect your facial. This will help us ensure we select the right treatment for your skin.
Post-Facial Questions & Answers:
What are your facial aftercare tips?
Can I wear makeup right after my facial?
It’s best to wait at least 4–6 hours after your facial before applying makeup, especially if you’ve had extractions or a more intensive treatment. Your skin will benefit from being makeup-free for a bit to fully absorb the nutrients.
How soon will I see results from my facial?
You’ll often notice immediate results, such as smoother, more glowing skin. Depending on the treatment, results may continue to improve over the following days or weeks.
How long will the effects of my facial last?
The results typically last anywhere from 1–4 weeks, depending on your skin type and the treatment. Regular facials will help maintain and enhance your results.
What should I avoid doing after my facial?
Avoid sun exposure for 48–72 hours and always wear sunscreen. Also, avoid heavy exercise, steam rooms, or hot showers for the first 24 hours to prevent irritation or clogged pores.
Can I return to my regular skincare routine immediately?
After your facial, you should return to a gentle skincare routine. Avoid using exfoliants, retinol, or products with acids for at least 48 hours to allow your skin to fully recover.
Is it normal to experience redness or breakouts after the facial?
Some redness or mild irritation can be normal, especially after treatments like extractions or chemical peels. If you're undergoing an acne treatment, you may experience a "purging" phase where breakouts come to the surface. This should subside within a few days.
How do I care for my skin after the facial?
Follow your esthetician’s aftercare instructions, which will likely include gentle cleansing, moisturizing, and using sunscreen daily. If you’ve had extractions, avoid touching your face to prevent irritation or infection.
Do I need to book follow-up treatments?
It’s recommended to book regular facials to maintain results and address ongoing skin concerns. Your esthetician will suggest a treatment plan based on your skin’s needs.
How often should I get facials?
Generally, a facial every 4–6 weeks is ideal for most skin types, but your esthetician can recommend a personalized schedule based on your goals and skin condition.
Can I do other treatments (like waxing or tanning) after my facial?
We recommend waiting at least 24–48 hours after your facial before waxing or tanning to avoid irritation. If you’ve had a chemical peel or intense treatment, wait longer before exposing your skin to these activities.

About the Clear Skin Program
See a difference in just 2-3 weeks!
Our clear skin program is a program created for you to see a difference within 2-3 weeks. A full customized, hand chosen regimen specifically matching every concern you have and is catered to you & only you, based on your skin type, age, and fitzpatrick.
What skin conditions does this treat?
The Clear Skin Program was specifically created for clients with any of the following skin concerns:
- Acne
- Hyperpigmentation
- Blackheads/whiteheads
- PIE/PIH
- sun damage
- ice-pick scarring
- melasma
Is this program right for me?
This program is very strict and we advise you to only join this program if you are completely ready to invest in a new medical grade regimen, and are willing to be consistent twice a day, everyday. Along with always wearing sunscreen, and keeping up with your acne peel appointments.
When will I see results?
Clients typically see results within 2-4 months depending how consistent and dedicated they are to following protocol.
How often do I come in for treatments?
Every client varies, but typically every 2-4 weeks for Acne treatments, peels, and spot treatments that pair with your home care regimen.
Do I have to use your products or can I use drugstore?
You would have to use Our face reality products, that’s the whole point of the program. 80% of your results comes from the consistent use of your products. This regimen will be tailored to the client thoroughly to ensure results. Using drugstore will mess the entire process, due to some products having pore-clogging ingredients.
How much does this program cost?
The typical investment on products is between $145-$200, most of the products last about 4-6 months depending on the products we put you on. In clinic treatments vary depending on the treatments. Acne peels are typically $99 each session, and other treatments vary between $50-$130
Some clients don’t need to come in as often for treatments due to their concerns, sometimes the home care regimen does the job itself.
